I was infatuated with this album the moment I dropped the needle on my worn handed down copy several years ago. I remember listening to 'Compared to What' several times in a row totally enamored by the instrumentation and emotional lyricism, and couldn't help but think how cool and fresh it sounded. Living in S.F. at the time, I can totally understand why my Aunt & Mom totally wore out this LP. Swiss Movement, performed and recorded live at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1969 impromptu and without any rehearsals, is a funky hard driving gem of an album.
