Archie Shepp Wants His Money
I can't tell you much about Archie Shepp besides the fact that he's an American jazz saxophonist, and whatever else Wikipedia can tell you. By the 1970's, his music turned towards equal rights advocacy and became afrocentric (think Fela Kuti).
I'm obsessed with the intro to Money Blues (Pt 1, 2 and 3). It sounds like an incredible party that I wish I were invited to. I can only imagine that it will one day be co-opted by Tarantino for a ridiculous/pointless scene involving Samuel L. and some dying hookers. Until then, it's a total party track.
